I want to model but really don't know if I really can (even if a lot of people think I can, they are not professional)
I'm 1,80m (5'11")
My measurements are 82-62-85 (32'5" - 24'5" - 34")
I wonder if I should submit to some agencies, I really don't know if I have a chance, please tell me what you think honestly, I'll accept criticisms if it can help me get better !!
Sorry for my english... |

I think you have potential: your measurements are ideal and your face has that "special' something. You're not the average kind of beauty but you are unique... You should contact an agency!

I used to do a bit of modeling, but nothing big really.
As you're French, I recommend going to Paris and visiting some of the following agencies: V, City, Elite, Eskimo, Metropolitan, Idole, and more. You can find more info under 'agencies'...
Good luck and let us know if you get signed with any agency!

wow ! I don't feel like those agencies will want of me...I don't really feel like one of these top models, know what I mean ?
in fact, I live in the south of france (marseilles) and there's some agencies there so I'll first try here (i think success models is a good one) because i'm 16 (17 in june :p) and I first want to get my diploma (baccalauréat), maybe next year...
moreover, next wednesday there will be the elite model look casting in my city, so I'll go there to see what they think about me, but as I've already said, I don't think that I have a lot of chances
in any case, I thank you for your advices, I'll give some news, I think I'm becoming an addict of this forum

hi there !
well feriel, i think you have great chances.. !! you are gorgeous.
i think you should not wait , usually agencies are looking for very young girls (15) but it's not too late.
Just give it a go, nothing to lose you know, and don't forget an agency could absolutely want you and another will quick get rid of you.
Thus i suggest to send pictures to agencies, by email, i think you should follow instructions given by models of THe fashion spot :

(the "so you want to be a model " thread)
these links are also interesting if you like models world :

svetlana thanks a lot, I don't think that "gorgeous" can qualify me (according to me, adriana lima, daria werbowy, caroline trentini, liya kebede, KATE MOSS are gorgeous, not me...) i agree with you, i have nothing to lose and i've already lose enough time like that (I seriously think about modelling since i'm 14...) Thanks for the links, you're very nice, i hope they'll help me to become a model
ALGB I've always been very thin, almost skeletal when i was young, but that was just the way i were, i ate like every children (candies, cookies...) but i was still thin (when i was 10 i even wanted to grow bigger to be like the other one !!) at about 12-13 years old, i started to grow bigger (puberty i think) but i didn't worried, i was even glad and i continued eating very bad (a loooot of junk food, cookies, candies...) then i started playing basket ball and i think it has kept me in form, now i think i sould eat more healthy and balanced (more vegetables and less starchy food i guess...) and i'll start to do some exercise to harden my body, moreover, if someby have advices to make me have a healthy rythm of life, just post it !!
hope you have readden everything, sorry for that very long message and thantk again, you have made me be more confident about this dream, thanks a lot !! |

i forgot to tell you about the elite model look contest i've been to... the result of this casting is a little mitigated... i came there and i was the tallest and one of the slimmest, there were a lot of "little" girls (about 1,72m...) but some of them were very pretty, everybody asked me if i were professional, even the photographer, all the girls told me "they will choose you, it's sure"...BUT, they did'nt i felt a little lost : everybody acted like a was a REAL model but the jury did'nt want of me...a girl who was already in an agency (and who hadn'nt been chosen too) told me that it was a very commercial casting, not like the one she goes to for her job, according to her, they were looking for girls that every youth could identify to but she told me to keep on...
the assessment of this casting ? it was my FIRST, and i can resume it with only one word : TIRING, at the end of the day, my back and my legs hurted me a lot, i stayed upright for more than 3 hours, but i suppose this was a first impression of a model life...i don't feel as disappointed as I thought i'd feel, finally i'm very happy to have gone there and i can say now that i do want to do this job, i know it may feel stupid and very superficial but i like the idea that i have to proove that i am the one they want in a very short time, just by my step and my attitude
my only regret is that i habven't asked to the jury why thay hadn'nt choose me, just to know what was wrong, but they were very busy...
still sorry for the length of the message and my mistakes in english... |
