Could someone tell me the weight on average someone needs to be according to height to be a fashion model? Not plus size, like runway type.
For example, I'm 5'7.5". What would my weight need to be ideally to be accepted as a model for an agency? |

I' m 5' 7.5" too...My weight is 48 kg...But I think the mesurements are more important.
For a "small model" (5'6-5' the mesurements are better 88-60-88 or less...
Bye!! |

> If you're too weighty you'll exceed the required measurements.
> Waist 23/24" and hips 34/35.5" would be appropriate for your height . |

Modelling is showing off clothes to sell them. There are a million models capable of doing that. If you don't fit exactly with height, weight and measurements, and you don't have something extra that helps sell clothes, e.g. you have a very (in)famous family/boyfriend, then don't kid yourself that you will "make it". You won't. Go and do something else and enjoy modelling locally for a hobby. It isn't cruel, its realistic. |

weight doesn't matter. Measurements should be within these guidelines, generally speaking, but if you do very commercial work (which you might being shorter) you can be slightly larger.
Bust: 30-37"
Waist: 22-27"
Hips: 32-37"
Note: if you are doing fashion, agencies will ideally go for these measurements:
Bust: 32-34
Waist: 22-25
Hips: 32-35 |
