The prints of the SS 2010 McQueen show were very similar, even the same to his SS 2009, but it was more like the evolution of that collection. He took that collection and developed it way more. I loved the underwater inspiration, because it really did look like it. The prosthetics on the models' faces, the sculptural shoes, the hair, and the fabrics looked new and rich and even fresh lol. Never seen anything like that before.
I don't think all the silhouettes were new because he did do that lamp skirt he's done before, but he did do lots of new things in this collection. And I kinda found it wearable too, and I think that's something McQueen has always struggled with before (and even now)
.....I could really go on and on about this man. I love him to death |

Me too, McQueen really is on his own level. I'd like to pretend that's why he was left out of the top 10 because it just wasn't fair to the other designers on the list lol |

Saying that it was a new silouhette, ect. I think it was. I think he just took inspiration from his recent collections and just took it to a ho nubba levo. |

He really is. I can't think of any designer who's doing what he does. Well maybe Ghesquiere, another genius to me lol.
I would love to know his creative process when he makes a collection lol |

Me too, I think he draws inspiration from biology. Wasn't he a zoologist? I can really see the science in his designs. Anyway, I think Hussein Chalayan is another genius who is up there along with Galliano (when he puts forth the effort) lol |

Ooh yeah, I've recently started loving Chalayan, especially his last collection. He's really really good too. Galliano is really not as good as he was before |

He's uninspired as of late, but when he does his magic boy is it amazing! |

He's becoming so repetitive and it really sucks because Galliano was always one of mt fave designers
Like I said, he needs to take a look at his old couture shows

The last Dior Couture show I loved was his FW 2008 show
*BIG SIGH*
I really should post Hussein's last show...brb! lol |

I love Hussein.
Hussein and McQueen are like two different ends of the spectrum.
McQueen is about biology and Hussein seems to incorporate technology in his looks. Cool contrast. |
