Joan Smalls. In the most literal sense though, I really could just care less about her.
She is boring and looks a bit washed up, but pretty none the less. Regardless she is just filler and the result of agency politics.

I agree with you..... oh lawd, in less than a half year no one will still care about who this Joan bitch was, isn't it all the same l every season with the black gurls? Last season we had Lindsey Scott everybody was celebrating her as the next super big thing since she walked for Prada, Gucci and so on, but where is she now? Her name is forgotten, same with Sedene Blake, she was so hyped already as newface (well she still is) and models.com said she's the supermodel of the next decade, and what is she doing now? She wasn't even able to "survive" until the fashion weeks in Milan started, great start in NYC and almost nothing imporant in London and just one small show in milan.... and same will happen to joan small, the industry does always pick one black newbie every season and make her a star for less than a half year...... Chanel and Jourdan seem to be exeptions.....maybe rose too......

well from what i understand things are even more f-ed up for joan. theres rumors about IMG withholding top names form runways unless joan gets booked. so on top of the fact that she is becoming the go-to black girl, it seems like clients don't even want her that bad....

Oh, they develop new pushing strategies, lovely! Well usually they pay a casting director as a sort of "thank you" for booking model xxxxx and I'm sure they did it with Lindsey this way last season.. This girl was so bad on the runway, the way she opens her eyes so wide ewwwww

and really weird is also to see Joan's showlist of previous seasons
