Being that you are 14, I acutally would wait a couple years, at least till you are 16 (majority of legit agencies will tell you the same) to start that way you can enter "the final maturing stage" where you face and body mature and loose baby fat blah blah blah. So they can see what you look like then of course. Then you will still need parental consent since you still a minor of course until you are 18 and eventually your mother will find out. In that time, see if you and your father can sit down and make your mother understand the industry and that it is nothing what she thinks it to be. A good website resource would be newmodels.com which gives you a lot of information and also models.com that has a lot of the industry professionals and aspiring professionals that you may discuss the industry with as well. |

yeah you're right... i guess there's not such a great rush right now, i mean two years isn't that long. Anyways, thanks so much for your opinions- i do very much hope to one day "make it" like so many others here even if I have to wait a little longer! |

This summer I will be 15 and I am going to Toronto to see what I can get from this industry. I met lots of agents at modeling competitions and the agent I met said if ever I moved closer, he would take me into the agency.
My point is you really just have to put yourself out there. Talk to people in the industry to get exposure
In toronto;) http://www.giovannimodels.com/ |

hm, if you make killer grades at school, then promise to keep them once you model, maybe make that a deal? Keep your grades, choose schooling over modeling, whatever... I don't know...
I'm not much of a help, my mom especially supports modeling. She thinks its a great way of getting into college since it requires LOTS of people, confidence, and acting skills. |
