I like her unconventional look and her ability to climb her way to the top of the modeling industry while maintaining her Christian beliefs at the same time by refusing to pose nude or advertising alcohol or cigarette ads. For her it is about self respect more than it is about the money.

She is one that will never ever have an eating disorder issue. She maintains a healthy weight and refuses to get any form of plastic surgery. Kamla is the model that we need to hear more of cause she is HEALTHY, CHRISTIAN and A COLLEGE GRADUATE. |

Yeah I think your post just described why we dont see more of her. A model with conviction and an opinion is bad news xx (for the industry I mean  ) Any model is just that a model, remember, they arent supposed to be an individual not really, they have got to do what they are told and if they turn around and say I'm not doing that and I'm not doing that well their career will be very obscure and very short. It's just the way it is. I personally like her she has a lovely look, but I think we know why she doesnt get so much work xx |

Hey NYStar, welcome to Fashion Model Directory.
Kamla Millwood is a VERY BIG International Model. Her agent is the London based agency called Impact Model Management and their website is www.impactmodelmanagement.co.uk she is on their website.
She does a lot of television and runway work as well as many catalogs. Her face is all over the Sephora makeup campaigns, Old Navy, The Gap and Banana Republic to name a few. The reason you probably have not heard of her is because she is not controversial like many other models. She is not anorexic, does not do drugs, does not smoke, is a college graduate, a Christian and donates a very large portion of her money to several charities. She has a good reputation and because of that the media is not interested in doing many interviews on her. Good news is not what the public is interested in because it is not controversial, but the public lives to read about dirt and scandal. Very sad, but that is the society we live in. |

She's not a big international model like you say that's for sure
Big international names are models like Heather Marks, Vlada Roslyakova, Caroline Trentini, Erin Wasson...to name only a few.
Besides the agency you mentioned is not one of the leading agencies in London
But still, even if she is no big international model she can make her way. |

No offense, but I have never ever heard of Heather Marks, Vlada Roslyakova, Caroline Trentini and Erin Wasson. Kamla Millwood is big for commercial and campaigns and that is how she is mostly known for. The models you are talking about are probably runway models and that is it. Also, her agency may not be a big agency but it gets her the work. Tyra banks for example is with D Management (not a big agency) and as we all know she is a multi-millionarie. So it really does not matter what agency the model is with, what matters is that she is able to get booked and work as a model and sustain herself that way. And Kamla does that. |

But Tyra was also with Elite (a huge agency.) also, could someone post some pictures of Kamla? |
