you must be pretty enough to convince your friends that you should model. despite your height. my sister told me there was this girl in one of her classes who is shorter than her (my sister is 5'3") and she's a model, so...you never really know. since you're in the Philippines i think they accept shorter models don't they?

I don't know what made them think something like that, but if that's the case, I'd try out. Shocked Really? Well, you may never know. But anything is possible in this world too.

I don't think they accept short models here in the Philippines, I searched the internet and all of the models here in the Philippines are about 5'6 minimum in height.

well, i'm 5'7 and 13... pretty tall for my age and considering the fact today's generation of 12 and 13 yearolds aren't that tall either.
you honestly might grow some more... hopefully, if your parents are tall.

I noticed that too. My fellow classmates aren't that tall either, probably the tallest in our classroom..was about 5 ft. 7 inches?

I hope so. My dad is 6ft. and my mom is 5'4.

Maybe that girl models for children's stuff. I'll bet those Limited Too models are a lot older than the buyers.

I don't think the Philippines is as loose as you think. 5'6"? likely. Shorter? probably not.

Friends nor can we judge much. Only agencies determine your probability as a success or not. No actually, it's not even the agency. It's the clients.

^ There may be a chance too. And I have a feeling that here in the Philippines, probably they accept models that areof 5'6 and above? AndI never heard of any agencies here in the Philippines.
Usually models here go to HongKong or Singapore to model. Another thing, the Philippines's Next Top Model winner, got a modeling contract too, but in Hong Kong. It think it was Starz People. I never watched PNTM.

And my friends told me I should start modeling by submitting pictures to clothing companies here in the Philippines, like Bench, Human, Penshoppe, etc.

Honestly, I don't know how. And usually the models they get are celebrities.

I will be posting my pictures soon. Sorry if it took long for me to reply Embarassed

No, not clothing companies. You have to do it to agencies.

Lol over here, I've noticed that the younger ones are getting taller. People 3 years younger than me ( I'm 18 ) and like giants compared to me and I'm 5ft 5-6ins - depends on my posture).

Plus being a Filipina, I've been told that the shortest is 5ft 5ins. The minimum height for Binibining-Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) is also usually the minimum height for modeling. It's the same for other countries. The minimum height for the contest is usually the minimum height for the agencies in your country because a lot of the winners become models afterwards.

And it's true most of the models in the Philippines are celebrities. You should try becoming a celebrity instead lol. You'd have a better chance of being a model hehe.

And your dad is really tall, is he a Filipino?
Good luck with growing.

I think you are pretty but I think you may have more of a commercial look than a high fashion look.

Surprised you're lucky. i wish i got a few extra inches in. you must've been one of those who got "within 4 inches" of the expected height.
