How to submit and to which agency?

I am an aspiring high fashion model and I stand 5'91/2" tall. Age 14. Can anyone tell me which agencies should I submit a headshot to and do submit a full body shot as well?

Hiya floridasun,

I cannot, nor would I ever attempt to "tell" you what agencies to submit your particulars too. However, there is some exciting things happening now at this time of year (same every year Smile

) that could lead you in a proper direction.

It seems to me that several agencies are into their "SuperModel Contest" and are just about begging for headshots etc. However, there are some issues you need to address. The best way I can state this is like:

What type of modeling do you aspire to get into?
What areas are you willing to travel too?
Are you still growing?

You get the drift? Right then....I would suggest that you go to models.com and take their tour and see other models in the same position as you. Moreover, have a look at their success rate! If it looks good, join. I am a member and have been for years. I chat with parents, other agency reps, and make up folks, creative directors, editors of magazines, not to mention my fave, chating with the models. Many times they are sharing their day-to-day activities when doing Milan or London or Paris, or simply a photo shoot with a photographer or the fingers-crossed photo/op with A&F or JC Penneys or whatever.

Elite Model Agency (NY, LA, CHI, TOR, and MIA) are actively recruiting; as is OneModelPlace in Miami, go to carabella.com and read their opportunities. Another great place to check is--oh $hit--I forgot, they are a national organization in Florida it's Millie something. I try to get back to you on this one.

Go to bwgreyscale.com and post your questions on the board there as well. Or another suggestion, try to write to this board's moderator, Zyana, who is simply the best, and of course, Heather who down deep I think is a model too.

I am going to try and consolidate my other post in IZOD with this one, okay? Great.

Who do you know over at IZOD? Or was it the photog asst? By the way, did they shoot it in Maine? Wouldn't surprize me in the least. There have been so many films done there----Do you remember Mel Gibson's Man Without a Face? After seeing that film I have been determined to get there insofar as the diversity of the terrain. Then I remember a film with Kathy Bates and Jennifer Jason Leigh titled: Delores Clayborne then I decided I would definitely go to Maine in the summer. Shocked

Okay need to clear this up: I don't know Keely personally. What I meant was "I'd get there (wherever she is) and get together with her...[she wouldn't get a say] I'd just send the limo. R-I-G-H-T!! Don't I wish!! Embarassed

She has one of the most unique faces I've ever seen. Very versatile, with a lot of different looks. The first time I saw the IZOD ad I almost freaked! I don't think she's blond by birth. Do you know the "Bird of Paradise" photo I referring to? Shot in Florida, I think, somewhere on the beach. Stunning! There is a new girl at "Ones2Watch" that reminds me a lot of Keely, I think her name is Gvinevere (Gwen, goes by Jenny.) Just as sweet as... you.

Do you watch music videos? And oh yes....I really enjoy FashionVictim.com all experts, I mean, serious fashion folks who really know their stuff. You'll see some familiar folks there. Just hate to write and run, but I gotta get bouncing here. Let me know if you've seen Maroon 5s video, "She Will be Loved." Caio for now. Cool

Aaaagghh! I feel like a dope for not responding to this post sooner, but I only came upon it now. And here you were, saying you were glad I read all the posts! Embarassed

Sorry 'bout that. I can usually see where the new posts are, because the icon to the far left of the forums turns from gray to black. Unfortunately, though, sometimes they don't work (I have no idea why), and then I can't tell where all the new posts are. Oh well.

Anywhooo....I will not go into details, but I got to know the photographer's assistant of the IZOD campaign a while back and we talked about models, etc. (I even got to check out the new IZOD campaign before it hit the magazines!) Whoopeeee! (I'm making all this sound more important than it really was) Anyway, he told me that the blonde was Keely. I asked him who the other blonde was (who you identified as Jamie Scott), but I don't think he was involved in those campaigns, so he didn't know. So that's the scoop.

I agree. Keely is a really pretty model. It must be the wide, blue eyes and her bright smile. She has an innocent look about her, if that makes sense.

I do watch music videos every now and then, but I haven't seen "She Will Be Loved" yet. Is it good? That is my favorite song of theirs, but it is so overplayed on the radio that I need a rest from hearing it for a while. I actually saw them in concert last December, just before they became popular. Gavin DeGraw opened for them. Have you heard his music? I luv his whole album. He's a true musician. He sings, plays the piano, guitar, etc. No lip syncing with him. You may have heard his song "I Don't Want to Be".
