Are others on here 'working models'? If so, what advice would you give a newbie? What 'looks' are the U.S. (New York) agencies looking for.
I have been told NEVER to pay for an agent, etc. |

Visit agency sites.
NY tend to lean towards edgier models from what I see, not to say the prettier/ softer ones don't get any work. |

AlysaaJay suggestions on which agencies? Do I do it online? Or better to snail mail?
I know I have the girl next door look, but I could be edgier if directed to be....
Who is Jenni? Does she model or work for an agency? I'm so thrilled to have people to chat with, I need all the help I can get. My mom will be working closely with me, and she is adamant that if I want to do this I have to do my research, and make sure I am going the smart and safe route. |

I don't really have a preferred NY agency. I think they can be a little scary. Models.com has lists of agencies and why they are great, maybeyou should check there.

Um, I mean pushy, as in pushing their models to be super thin. Of course all agencies do, but I think them more than anyone else. It all depends where you go |
