Help a guy with his style

hey guys, ive seen lots of what youve had to say about models and stuff and it seems like some of ya just got a knack for fashion.

i think i do to an extent, ive worked clothing retail for quite a few years and im great at dressing OTHERS and fairly good at dressing myself but lately im trying to branch out and try some new fashion stuff

i like a little bit of urban edge to what i wear, but still a clean look. and i love layers. and im not afraid to do "girl colors" like purples and pinks. My favorite pattern is houndstooth, just LOVE it.

so does anyone have some tips for me? My problem seems to be having alot of pieces that need something else to top them off, maybe accessories like belts, or necklaces. and especially final layering pieces but im neve rsure what to get

another problem i have is the bottoms, i have quite a few pairs of jeans but i never know if because im a guy i should be wearing them looser or if tight is okay?

I also get hesitant to mix too much patterns and look too busy, but then ill see a bodyform in a store wearing like plaid with stripes overtop and it looks nice, so whats the "rule" with patterns? Like the pic I posted of the white and black plaid sweater with the stripped woven shrit underneath, I would be hesitant to wear that thinking it was too much - yet it looks pretty good?

ill post some pics of stuff i have/like to get an idea what I own and just any suggestions you think may help. i have tons more than the pictures lol its just hard to try recap it all and have pix. I can basically wear any color because of my skin tone

if you want more questions about what i wear/like, or details PLEASe let me know i wanna get some advice to try expand my look:)

I like the last shirt with the cardigan. Im not a fan of polos though. I think maybe getting some v-neck shirts under a cardigan with some dark blue jeans. Smile

tight jeans or loose jeans are both fine for a guy. unless you're on the larger side. then i'd tell you to stay away from the tight stuff.

In the middle of tight and loose. Not too tight where they look like girl jeans but not too loose either.

my best advice is to either ask jose, look at pictures of guys wearing nice stuff, or just cheat and go to Urban Outfitters
