Have they seen your photos already? Occasionally they will sign a girl on the spot but often times they have to discuss as a whole first. It's rare for everyone to be in the office when you're there, too, so they'll probably call you back with a yes or no. If they like you, they'll take polaroids. They probably will not discuss money until they have signed you although if you have questions about money they should be happy to answer. All agencies are generally the same with money and percentages, however.
Remember, you want an agency who is excited about you so see a few and then you can better judge each of their vibes |

Agencies generally take 10% by law, but "Model Management" companies (a different legal entity) suck in 25% of what you earn or more. You'll also probably have some hefty startup expenses (test shoots and makeovers) charged against your first few paychecks. |

Yes they have already seen my pictures because I sent them in by mail and she seemed real excited to see me and it was the president...To me they just seemed really interested. So would seem as a good chance? |

they won't act excited if they're not. Don't get your hopes up, though, because sometimes a couple of bookers can love you but if not everyone does, chances are they won't take you.
And most reputable agencies take 20%. Unless you make an obscene amount of money and/or are extremely famous- then you can bargain with them. |

Similar story for the UK and across Europe and South Africa...
20% taken in commission from your fee - but watch out for all the hidden charges - Storm and MOT in the UK charge you a fortune to be in their annual directories and charges for other things add up - they are voluntary but basically they won't push you if you don't play!
Old fashioned agencies printing annual directories should be avoided - complete waste of time and clients don't use them anyway..
I would try CAPE London is you are looking for a professional agency in London which is small enough to make you look big! - No additional charges either - I have seen many Model friends move from the big boys to smaller shops where they can get more attention
