It's not even how you pose, it's not about the photographer and it isnt about the stylists who do your hair and makeup. It's all in the way you look. Look at models polaroids, where they dont have any make up or anything done to their photos, and you can tell they are made to be high fashion models. Obviously Miss Universe wasn't made to be a high fashion model, if she was, then she wouldn't be Miss. Universe. She must have knew that she wasn't good enough and not the right kind of girl to do high fashion modelings; which is why she signed up for a beauty pageant.

Off course that high fashion material isnt about the photographer, make up etc... what Im telling you is that you can't judge if a girl isn't good for high fashion if she is all set up for commercial....that just blurs your perspective.... and what im saying is that Dayana perhaps isn't 'baby doll' or 'androgynous' but those trends change constantly, and she does have the high fashion look that was trendy 15 years ago.. so that trend could easily comeback right now.

If Irina (one of my favs) wouldn't be chosen by Kate for that cover (and she chose her because she was friends with her because of pete), she wouldn't be who she is right now, because nobody thought she had the look that is hot right now. that's how it works, it is a mixture between the looks and the luck.

I just think she ruined her modeling career. I don't think she ever had a high fashion look. And obviously, she doesn't now. I don't ever see her being on the cover of Vogue or on a runway; and I never saw that before she entered the Miss Universe competition. I do see her being in a commercial or a soap opera or maybe in a department store catalog. Very Happy

Actually, I think it's pretty cool that we have different opinions and that I am allowed to like or dislike the answers, that's why I asked the question in the first place, because this is a Forum and that's what Forums are all about, debating and changing points of view.
