First of all, let me premise with saying I know I am super short! I am not asking about catwalk/runway work. Also, this is not my life's goal. (Being a successful visual artist is my dream! ) I live in the midwest...not NYC, LA, London, Paris, Milan, etc. I'm guessing anyone reading this will just say, "Sorry, you're WAY too short", or maybe you'll say I'm "too old" (even though I look much younger than I am), or perhaps you might even say I'm not skinny enough. (Though I've often been told I AM skinny...but in the model world, "skinny" is a relative term!) So to get to my point here, I set up this profile on a whim. If anyone comes across my profile and likes my look...great. If they don't...oh well. Life moves on! I had fun trying!
Anyway, I recently made this profile...

Keep in mind, these photos were not shot by a pro.
By the way, I stumbled across this site because one of the gorgeous (and quite successful) models here is the daughter of a man I know. SHE on the other hand IS super tall, super skinny, etc.! |

Fair enough. Just curious though, don't have a chance in ANY venue? (I would never attempt to try for runway! I know the requirements for that and am not one bit interested in that anyway.) Reasons? Too short? Not scrawny stick figured enough? Too old? Too pale? Too baby faced? Just curious. |

Hello Kristin,
I'm certainly no expert in these matters, but my opinion for what it's worth is that I really don't think you have a chance. I would like to be proved wrong and if modelling is something you feel you want to get into then you must get in touch with agencies they're the only ones who can really tell you. You are far to curvaceous for a model and I don't think you have the model stature or look, sorry.
Of course that's not to say that there are no opportunities to get into the modelling business.
Whatever you decide, I hope it works out for you.
