Oh wow I can't believe im actually writing this. But, for the models or soon to be models out there. Keeping a great shape is probably the biggest problem of all. People or your agency will probably tell you that lots of exercise and a good portion of healthy food will work. But, it doesn't work for me! I weight about 127 and is about 5'11". I have recently checked some status of models, that usually the ones my height are 5-10 pounds less!!

Some good diet tips are desperately needed !!

Well, Im 5"9 130lbs and a model (34-25-24.5). Its not about weight, everyones body is built differently. Its all about the measurements. Im really bony and i weigh 130lbs so if I were you, I would focus more on how clothes fit.

Dont believe stats they put on websites..etc. I lie (im female, we lie about weight its a fact!) And my agency got my height wrong. Some of my friends are listed as 2 inches shorter than they are, and they are in Premier agency.

So true!

And if you got a hold of models' real stats you'd see there's a lot more variation, even in measurements, than the agencies let on. Wink

How old are you? And has an agency actually told you to loose weight? 'Cause even without seeing you (bone structure, proportions etc), it doesn't really sound like you'd need to drop weight at 5'11/127. And if you're having so much problem losing it, it might just be that you're not supposed to be any skinnier. Do some toning instead, if your feeling unfit.

Sorry to disappoint, but eating right and exercising your butt off really is the only way to any lasting results.

slightly under-run on calories (eat slightly less than daily recommended.. and when i mean slightly less, i mean it).. it's the only way to go about it, it's an inverse method of bulking. try a mainly protein diet and some sort of toning/cardio regime.. that's about as much help that i could give to lose that little amount of weight at your current situation

You shouldn't worry so much about that - Gisele Bundchen is a super model and she weighs around 123-125 lbs. The difference between the regular runway models and the super runway models is muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat - but it also takes up alot less space. Do strengthening exercises for your upper and lower body - and you'll look as if you've lost 5-10 lbs.
