Argh, I can't help it, I have to say something! Evil or Very Mad

WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!?! Carmen Kass should be winning [the head to head competition on the front page] by a mile! Don't get me wrong, Natalia Vodianova is certainly gorgeous, but there's nothing really unique about her. Carmen Kass has what is probably the most elegant look in modeling history. She's the literal epitome of elegance. Her face and body are so finely chiseled, she is like a testament to God's art. Her limbs and neck are elongated in this magnificent, gracefull way unlike any other model out there. Her skin -- as perfect as you could ask. Her body: willowy with curves, how can you not love it?

Argh, it's like people who put Johann Strauss on the same level as Beethoven. It's just unacceptable! I mean, 'better looking' is kind of an odd standard, but while Natalia Vodianova is gorgeous, Carmen Kass is UNIQUELY BEAUTIFUL. I think it's a travesty that she is so far behind in the voting, it's outrageous! While there are a very few models whom I personally consider more attractive than Carmen, I really couldn't say that anyone out there is more beautiful.

Now that you've read this, I hope all of you who voted for Natalia will go change your votes. Cool Nothing against Natalia, she should beat out MOST other models. But not Carmen Kass; no way, no how.

Feel free to disagree with me, but I would just like to point out that if you disagree... you're wrong!

ADDED: Btw, am I the only one who thinks Natalia looks like a cross-between Denise Richards and Brooke Shields? And I sure don't mean that as an insult, eheh.

I appreciate your input and welcome comments by all users regarding the polls or any other function on FMD. I understand your frustration but remind you that people are entitled to their own opinions and therefore we should respect the results of both this poll or any past/future polls.
I myself have voted for Carmen. I've never been a fan of Miss Vodianova. But as it frequently happens in such polls my own personal vote doesn't coincide with the popular one and I suspect my model of choice will loose yet again.
But such is democracy! ... please keep in mind that the polls are just a fun thing and the results therein should be looked upon lightly. The same thing applies to the individual model's votes.
There are Members on FMD who systematically score models with the lowest possible score, 1, just so their model of choice can rank higher on the topmodels rank. For those of us in the Administration this sort of situation is quite frustrating but it is allowed and therefore we have to endure this sort of abusive behavior.

Hey Zyana, ah I hope you didn't take offense at the tenor of my post. I meant it to be a little tongue in cheek -- I'm not really SO arrogant, lol. But I'm glad we are in substantive agreement on the issue at hand. Very Happy

Hi Alistair,

I have to agree with you about Carmen Kass, but there's no arguing about taste I'm afraid, it's in the eye of the beholder. I have to admit that I have a particular soft spot for Carmen as she is a chess player and seems to have quite a lot of interests that most models lack. Of course it does help that she is stunningly gorgeous, but I do actually like Natalia Vodianova too, she is a very fine model and quite an ambassador for the profession. I am however very surprised like yourself as to the extreme one-sidedness of this contest, but hey as Zyana says it's all in fun. As to your comparison of Johann Strauss and Beethoven, I couldn't agree more, I love them both, but Beethoven is really in a league of his own - a total genius - ask me for my second favourite classical composer and I would be hard pressed to decide - but my number one, easy - Ludwig van Beethoven.
