I currently reside near Miami, Florida and attended open calls. All were unsuccessful, with the exception of one, NEXT, where they took photos/video. However, because I have minimal experience, they recommend to start with a smaller agency, develop my book, and come back when season picks up because the girls there with a similar look to mine have significant experience. Does this mean if I work on my book, I have a chance to sign with them? What should I work on? Thanks |

Hi!
A lot of agencies are like that. They are very strict and specific. But you know what that doesn't matter that much. Why not try to build your portfolio better or take smaller projects just to have more experience. And visit this site http://www.howtomodelcoaching.com/. It provides coaching on how to be a successful model. They even offer "Ways to build your photo portfolio for free!", "How MODELING AGENCIES actually work!", "How to get signed and START WORKING!", and many more tips and tricks that are offered by successful models, as well as, the creator of the site himself Mr. Mike Murphy. Trust me you won't regret it. I've learned so much from them already. Hope this helps. |
