I currently reside near Miami, FL. I have visited agencies, Elite, Ford, Next for open calls one year ago. Elite shot me down, but stupidly, it was the first open call I ever went to , so that was dumb to do. Next said I need a portoflio, but had good face. Ford contacted me after submitting pictures via email. This was almost one year ago. I was in school so did nothing to follow up though I was given an agents card. I am almost 18 now. Which agency would be best? I am about 5 9 24 waist but my hips are 36. I think I am too short for runway. Thus editorial/campaigns/advertsement would be my best path maybe? I don't know too much. Any advice would help. Thank you

If you are really serious about becoming a model, you should try resubmiting your pictures. Ford seemed interested in you last time you sent them photos, so you should try getting into contact with them again first. If not, try sime other agencies. Your hips might be a bump in the road if you're trying to become a model, but don't let that stop you. If you are really serious you should go for it anyway! Good luck! Smile

Wow. Ford was interested in you. That's fantastic! Try them again. Your 36 hips and height may get in the way, but I'm sure you'll be able to snag some ads/catalogs, probably HF ones if Ford was able to love your face. You can always slim down just a bit, also (the healthy way, of course). Laughing

Ford would be great for sure!
5'9 might be o.k. but you should slim down a little bit. s.th. about 23 1/2 & 35 1/2 should be fine for your height!
