China may not have been the best place to host it, some reports say this was just like all the controversy when it was held in Seoul back in '88.

I've lost quite a lot of respect from them, but the media exaggerates at times. I still won't "hate" on China- I'll bet other foreign countries (Mainly USA hating countries) have a few ads here and there about how horrid USA is and how stupid and narrow-minded Americans are, which generally isn't true. There are just those who give us a bad name.

China is guaranteed wayyy worse than USA, (with all the stupid Tibet crap they're doing,) I know that much. but I have a feeling it could be the same regarding media's over reactions to things. The government is probably "bad" but not the people.

anyone who claims that the Chinese government isnt doing these things as we speak is in complete denial. It;s disgusting and the fact we have even competed at an olympics in this country is nothing short of a disgrace. See when the Olympics is held in London, and it will pale in comparison because we dont run a dictatorship, the press can come here and actually investigate whatever they so choose. In china we were promised the internet access and the access to poorer areas .... and essentially anywhere we want to be but journalists are being followed and given minders who are interfering with their journalism. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A BOYCOTTED GAMES ... TO BE ASKED TO RUN THROUGH TIANANMEN SQUARE IN A MARATHON ... OH LORD ABOVE. I know i couldnt have done it. Confused

most of these athletes are nothing more than whores for medals ... i'm dissapointed that we went the wolrd should be showing china that the way the run their country and people is wrong and isnt to be tolerated.
