Whenever I go back home, I swear...people tend to stare at me either because they think I am tall, Korean, or it's because of the way I dress. I really love the attention I get there.

People look at the way I dress no matter where I am lol.
In the Philippines it's worse because there's hardly anyone who follows fashion or properly colour-coordinates.
and they seem to all wear jeans and t-shirts.
i wear jeans and t-shirts rarely to be honest.

Btw, is home Philippines or Japan?

I've been the same height as I was three years ago. Actually, I feel like I sort of shrunk since I hunch a tad bit but I am trying to improve my posture.
Anyway, I am planning to try out yoga with my buddy. Thanks for the advice. ^.^

I find if kind of funny how everyone here is calling me short. Back home, everyone used to make fun of me because they thought I was pretty tall. This is my first time people have actually called me short before. Hehe. Laughing

When I'm in the Philippines. I'm tall compared to everyone else in the mall lol. I stick out like a sore thumb because I'm mistisa-looking, a lighter colour, and taller lol. Thus everyone just stares at me hehe and I turn heads wherever I go... Not necessarily a bad thing though.

I feel for you. Some don't believe i'm fully Asian because of my height!

yep we are the outkasts.
but who wants to be shorter anyways.
we are the beautiful asian outkasts hehe Very Happy

Pilipinas! I was born there and I lived there for several years so that's why I call it my "home." Very Happy Actually, I didn't even know my father was Japanese until I met him when I was 14. Hehehe.

...Charo Ronquillo's pretty darn tall (compared to me). Grr...I'm jealous. Evil or Very Mad

I can sort of relate to your friend then. Whenever I tell people I am Filipino, they usually end up saying, "You're kidding, right?"

Thank you everyone. I really appreciate what you've all said.
Sadly, my doctor told me before that I won't get any taller. Sad It's a massive shame, isn't it? It's alright though. I guess I'll just try my best and see what I can do at 5 feet and 6 inches.

Gosh! Your face is gawjuss! Try to make it as commercial model.

Yes I do, "The Asian Kate Moss", she's so pretty.
Our house in the Philippines is where she was born (Cabuyao, Laguna).
She was discovered in Robinson's mall arcade.
I need to make sure to go there when I go to Philippines in December lol.
I love Robinson's mall actually. And Glorietta. And Megamall.
Aww I wanna go to Philippines now...

Yay, Pilipinas!
I'm always with my mum or my family in the Philippines so they all assume I'm a mistisa. Most people over here, on the internet or on holiday never guess exactly where I come from. I've been guessed a lot of things e.g. Hawaiian, Brazilian, Native American. I don't mind though nice to know I have a varied look lol. Only a few people have guessed my descent (Filipino, Portuguese, Spanish, British).
Yeah, even though I only have British ancestry from generations ago on my father's side I still see myself as British because I was born and have grown up here and am still here hehe.
Aw wow, well I only found out like a few weeks ago that I have British ancestry on my father's side.

l o v e Vicci - where are you from in Philippines? / Which part do you live in?

I was born in Santa Mesa, Manila but I was raised mainly in Paranaque. (I did live in in Makati, Batangas, and Quezon City for some time as well but I spent most of my years in Paranaque)
But whenever I go back home, I usually hang around Alabang or Makati! Very Happy The malls there are mega cool.
You know, talking about the Philippines makes me want to hop onto an airplane and get back there again. We should do some serious shopping in Glorietta...and maybe we can model for Bench, Penshoppe, or something!!

I know ey! We so need to go to Philippines at the same time and do lotsa shopping and get spotted for modeling hehe. I'm sure we'd both get even more attention together!
I can't wait until December that's when I'm going for a month! When are you next going?
I go to Makati too. My Mum grew up there and that's where my Grandmother's house is so we usually visit there a few times when we're there. It's where we used to stay before we bought a house in Laguna.
So many basketball courts in Makati! Hehe.
The only thing I hate when I go to Philippines, it's always for a month and I get bored after like 2 or 3 weeks because I don't have any friends there just my family who can't really talk to me much because they don't speak the greatest English.
But other than that, Philippines is awesome. Particularly the shopping. On this tiny island shopping is very limited...

Oh my gosh! A month? You're super lucky!! My family's a bit tight on budget these days so I might not even have a chance to come back home until I graduate high school. (two more miserable years to go!) That really suckssssss!!!! Crying or Very sad
Hehehe, but I love the brilliant ideas we're coming up with. We're geniuses.
By the way, Laguna's a lovely province! So beautiful there...especially Majayjay Falls!
Same here! I really don't say much to my family because I am not very close to them so I do get bored easily. Plus, my grandpa is a bit racist against me. (his alzheimer's disease is controlling him)
