"The Model Scouts"

The Model Scouts, called The Model Agent in its first season in 2009, is an Irish reality documentary on RTÉ Two that follows twelve girls competing for a lucrative modeling contrract with IMG.

In 2009 the series followed model scout Fiona Ellis on her search for an Irish supermodel. On her way through Ireland, Ellis spotted eight girls in the entire country and chose the last four of the twelve finalists through applications that she received. Each episode saw the elimination of one or more girls. The winner, Carrie-Anne Burton, won a contract with the Independent Models agency and a cover of Image magazine. Supermodel Erin O'Connor, who was also discovered by Ellis at the beginning of her career, advised the girls.[1] Ellis said that, in contrast to America's Next Top Model, her aim is to rather give an insight in finding new model talent with serious ambitions without "all the drama".

In 2010, Jeni Rose and David Cunningham of IMG Models were the judges.[3] The girls were taken to London, Paris, Sydney and New York. The winner, Tabea Weyrauch, was a 16-year-old girl from Derry.[4] She won a one-year contract with IMG, became the face of A|Wear in Ireland and the United Kingdom, and appeared on the cover of Life, the magazine section of the Sunday Independent.[5]

^ uhm...im from && live in England, Southampton. so ys we do gt BBC here, ive nver even heard of that channl ^ i found out about the show through tfs && googled it and watch it on youtube... lol.

Is this like another ANTM minus bad drama?

I admit, the girls are much prettier here than ANTM though.

okay honey i thought you were saying you had seen it on telly. sorry for thinking you were irish, had no idea that was a bad thing.

^ oh sorry if it came off rude. I wouldn't mind being Irish, i like the accent ,lol but i've never even been there Sad

yea, ive only seen 3 episodes so far but @ the moment all the girls are lovey dovey and so sweet and wanna be friends.

and really? i personally prefer the look of ANTM girls because tey have a variety...these girls are all pale and similar.

of course, variety wise ANTM triumphs, but ANTM usually only gets 2-3 gems in a group of 12-14. (Cycle 15 being an exception). In this one, almost all the girls, despite a lack of diversity, are quite lovely.
